A luxury passenger vessel ‘Shicheng City Light’ equipped with the S-Hybrid system provided by SES-Tech was delivered to Shicheng City Light on 16th November 2020. This vessel will be operated in Huapu River.

The river cruise vessel Shicheng City Light is 62.3 m long and 15.1 m wide, designed to contain 400 passengers. Equipped with the S-Hybrid system, the vessel supports the diesel mode, PTH mode and boost mode.
This is the first hybrid-driven vessel operated on Huangpu River. Different operating modes demonstrate extreme flexibilities. During the PTH mode when only motors are driving, silent operation provides fantastic experience for the passengers, while in the boost mode, the vessel just becomes a power beast to reach up to 13 knots’, claimed Mr Cai, the CEO of ‘Shanghai Shengrong International Yacht Co., Ltd.’
